After several months renovation, Galerie Met is finally going to open to the public in September 2023. The first exhibition will be Shulan Wang’s solo show Golden Dreams. Her works subtly combine western photography compositions with eastern printing and painting techniques, which are also what we expect from our own gallery: rooted in tradition, while looking to the future.
Galerie Met represents emerging and established artists of various generations, origins, cultural backgrounds, and sexual orientation. Our program focuses on radical, interdisciplinary, concept-oriented work, especially in the fields of interactive art, video art, installation art, generative art, as well as painting / photography / sculpture that pushes traditional boundaries.
Galerie Met hosts about 7 contemporary art exhibitions, 5 digital art exhibitions and 2 non-art / non-profit exhibitions per year in our gallery in Berlin. Besides of those, we also host online art exhibitions at metaverse to offer people the possibility to enjoy art immersively no matter where they are.
At the same time, Galerie Met is solid supporter of the culture of web3.0 and decentralization, and looks forward to contributing to a fair, open, tolerant, enlightened society via new technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, virtual reality etc.
Galerie Met is also actively collecting NFT (Non-Fungible Token) via different blockchains such as Tezos, Ethereum and Solana to discover and support new artists. We believe NFT as a new art medium will make the current art world more trustful, creative, fair, open, transparent and most importantly, decentralized.
We hope to welcome you soon in our gallery!
